Oman beat UAE, Kick Start WCL3 Preparations

The Oman National team kicked started its World Cricket League 3 preparation with a convincing win over UAE in the final match of their 3 match fixture. After a narrow 5 run loss in the 2nd match, Oman returned to their winning form against the neighboring rivals with a 38 run.

Batting first, Zeeshan Maqsood got Oman off to a good start and went on to score 73 of just 72 balls. His innings was ably supported by Aqib Ilyas and Mohammed Nadeem who chipped in with 36 and 33 respectively. Oman ended up with 253/8 from their allotted 50 overs. Rohan Mustafa was the pick of the UAE bowlers with figures of 3/51 of 10.

In response, UAE managed 215/10 in 45.4 overs. Ghulam Shabbir and Muhammed Usman top scored with 50 and 47 respectively. Mohammed Nadeem claimed 4 wickets for Oman to enable the 38 run win.
