Muscat, Oman: Fagor FCC beat Orient Travels by 21 runs in the Final of the A Division T20 tournament powered by Khimji Ramdas.
Winning the toss and opting to bat first, Fagor FCC’s Chirag Mandaviya (48 of 47; 1×4,3×6) and Sultan Ahmed (43 of 30; 6×4) notched up a partnership of 68 runs for the third wicket, setting them up for a big total. However, tight spells and picking wickets at regular intervals courtesy Tanveer Rana’s 3/38 , Tauseef Ahmed’s 2/13 and Mudassar Qayyum’s 2/28 restricted Fagor FCC to 147/9 in 20 overs. In response, Orient Travels kept loosig wickets in clusters holding them back to gain momentum to chase down the par-score set by Fagor FCC. Syed Amir Ali’s (45 of 27; 5×4,2×6) blitz got Orient Travels close to the target but couldn’t take them over the line falling short by 21 runs. Fagor FCC’s Aneermon claimed 3/16 while Charles Jacob picked 3/29 to ensure the title for them.

The post-match prize distribution ceremony was graced by Mr. Arvind Venkatramani , Chief Finance Officer – Khimji Ramdas Infrastructure along with Mr. Duleep Mendis, Chief Development Officer – Oman Cricket.
Mr. Duleep Mendis presented Chirag Mandaviya of Fagor FCC with the Man of the Match Award and Mr. Arvind Venkatramani presented Fagor FCC with the Winners trophy followed by the Runners Up trophy to Orient Travels.
