Recognising excellence in the country’s Premier League competition, Oman Cricket recently awarded cash prizes to five cricketers under its Player of the Month programme at its office in Amerat.
Awarded by Madhu Jesrani, Secretary of Oman Cricket, in the presence of Duleep Mendis, Chief Development Officer, Bilal Khan of Passage to India received his prize for the month of September-October.
Fayyaz Butt (PTI) and Ajay Lalcheta (Al Turki) were declared joint winners of the award for November-December. January’s Player of the Month award went to Mehran Khan (Enhance) and Pruthvi Kumar Machvi (PTI).
Premier Division league competition is keenly contested every year by five fiercely competitive teams – Assarain, PTI, Muscat, Al Turki and Enhance – and provides an exciting pool of talented players for the country’s national team.
